Founded on May 24, 1931 the Beta Omicron Chapter is one of the oldest Greek organizations currently at Mansfield University. In our time here we have initiated famous composer and band director Richard Franko Goldman and famous composer and pianist Percy A. Grainger. We have also initiated Will George Butler, Arthur T. Belknap, John H. Doane, and Herbert E. Manser into our great brotherhood. All of these men have buildings on campus named in their honor. The former mayor of Mansfield, Mr. Thomas Wierbowski, was also initiated at this chapter as a collegiate brother and continues to be active with the chapter to this day. As of the Spring 2019 initiation, the Beta Omicron Chapter of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity has initiated 895 brothers! Just like Mansfield University, the Beta Omicron chapter has a long and illustrious history that we hope to continue for years to come!
